Margot

Margot cries for a while, but then she stops "Im just sick of crying!" she says.
She closes her eyes and starts thinking about nice things. She thinks about green grass, with pink flowers and big colourful butterflies. And the sun, big and yellow like lillies on fire.
"Not like a lemon!" she laughs. But suddenly Margot thinks about home, she gets sad and tears start streaming down her face.
She tries to think about happy things again, but everything is different.

The rainbows are crying now, the colours drip down over the beautiful meadow and the bunnys drown. It all turns into black tar.
Even the butterflies, those pretty creatures, are ugly now.
They turn into big hairy cockroaches, Margot cries even more.
The birds fly south, trying to escape. All that remains, are feathers and tar. Margot cries and cries.

But then she remembers something her mother said to her once.
"Smile at the world, and the world will smile right back at you, Margot."
She smiles at the world. She smiles so big that her face hurt.
The rainbow stops crying. The cockroaches and the rainbow shout at her, "You will never make it, you are sad, cry Margot, cry!
She wants to cry so badly, and she feels the tears pushing and trying to get out of her eyes. But she will not let them.
"NO!" she screams and smiles. But this time the smile is bigger
than a girl should be able to smile. It's so big that the sad world can't take it anymore.
Everything dissapears and become a big blank nothing.

"I made it.." Margot stops.
Out of nowhere, the sun comes. It's big, yellow and angry.
It stares at her, with its big black eyes.
"Why do you have that stupid smile on your pale face?" The sun asks.
"Why do you have that stupid stare?" Margot answers.
The sun stares with sadness in its eyes, and dissapears in the blink of an eye.

Margot opens her eyes.
The big mean boy stares at her.
"Speak when your spoken to!" he yells.
"Why do you have that stupid smile on your face?" he asks.
Margot laughs and walks out of the closet, with a big, stupid, happy smile on her pretty face.
